Detailing, PPF & Tint for Burlington Drivers

The Short Answer

Protection for QEW and 403 Commuters

Our Ancaster studio is a straight run down the 403 from Burlington, and that is where we fit paint protection film, apply ceramic coating, tint windows, detail and wrap cars. Appointments are Monday to Friday. Call or email to set one up.

If you commute on the QEW or the 403, your front end is taking chips every week. That is the first thing we would look at on a Burlington car.

What Burlington Commuting Does to a Car

The Freeman Interchange

The QEW, Highway 403 and Highway 407 meet at the Freeman Interchange in Burlington. From there the QEW and the 403 run together east through Burlington and into Oakville. That is a lot of merging and a lot of road grit at highway speed.

The Skyway and the 403 west

Heading toward Hamilton, the QEW crosses the bay on the Burlington Bay James N. Allan Skyway, while the 403 wraps around the north side of Hamilton Harbour and climbs the escarpment toward Ancaster. Either way, the front bumper, hood and mirrors take the debris.

Winter

Crews working for the province look after the QEW and the 403 in winter. The Ministry of Transportation describes pre-wetted salt, regular road salt with liquid added so it sticks to the pavement (ontario.ca). At highway speed that mix coats the whole lower half of the car.

See road salt and your paint for what helps.

Burlington FAQ

Common Questions

How do I get to you from Burlington?

Highway 403 west toward Ancaster is the direct route. When you book, we confirm the drop-off arrangements with you.

Is there a loaner option for longer jobs?

Yes. We rent replacement cars by the day, week or month, so a longer job does not leave you without wheels. See car rentals.

My hood is already chipped. Is PPF still worth it?

Film protects from now on, and it seals in what is underneath. We assess the paint first and tell you whether touch-up or paint correction should come before film.
